His educational journey included achieving top scores on his medical board exams, setting a high standard for himself early on. Dr. Khan embarked on his path by completing an internship at Louisiana State University, gaining valuable experience and knowledge. Subsequently, he completed a Residency in Anesthesiology at Oschner Health Sciences in the lively city of New Orleans, Louisiana. Following this, he further honed his expertise through a specialized fellowship in Pain Management at the prestigious University of Cincinnati. Dr. Khan holds board certifications in both Anesthesiology and Interventional Pain Management, reflecting his dedication to mastering his field.

Since 2013, Dr. Khan has been a valuable member of the Southeast Pain & Spine Care team. Beyond his medical prowess, he has assumed leadership roles, serving on the Southeast Pain & Spine Care Quality Liaison team for over eight years and joining the Physician Executive Committee in 2020, where he currently holds the position of Medical Director. His unwavering commitment to his profession has earned him recognition from his peers, with multiple appearances as a Top Doctor in Charlotte Magazine.

Dr. Khan’s expertise extends to highly specialized areas within pain management. He is proficient in multiple interventional therapeutic procedures, including various injections, spinal cord stimulation therapy, dorsal root ganglion stimulation therapy, peripheral nerve stimulation therapy, Vertiflex spacer insertion, vertebral augmentation procedures, VIA Disc injections, as well as thermal and cooled radiofrequency ablation (RFA) procedures of various areas. Outside of his professional life, Dr. Khan cherishes moments spent with his wife and three children, sharing a love for exploring diverse cultures through travel.
